Planning now serves as the \u2018decision hub\u2019 that connects finance, merchandising, supply chain, and operations, orchestrating and aligning strategy with execution and enabling faster, more confident decisions across the board.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0Let\u2019s explore what that looks like in practice and why AI has become central to making it possible across the retail enterprise:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/><p><strong>Finance: The Forecast Isn\u2019t Fixed<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p>Planning used to be about locking in a forecast. Now it\u2019s about adjusting continuously across inflation shocks, demand swings, and margin pressures. Quarterly reforecasts can\u2019t keep pace with weekly volatility.\u00a0<\/p><p>This means there needs to be a shift from fixed models to live scenarios.
