The group&#8217;s presence focuses chiefly on the brands:<\/li>\n<li>Sogegross and Grosmarket (cash &amp; carry channel)<\/li>\n<li>Basko (supermarkets and superstores) and its e-commerce channel www.laspesabasko.it<\/li>\n<li>Ekom (food discount)<\/li>\n<li>DORO supermarkets (supermarkets and superette franchises)<\/li>\n<li>Primia and Q Maiuscola (two private label brands within the group).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The challenge: Supporting a complex supply chain<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>One of Sogegross\u2019 strengths is managing its distribution and logistics chain to serve the other brands in the group. They have seven platforms dedicated to specific types of products:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>fresh food<\/li>\n<li>fruit and vegetables<\/li>\n<li>fish<\/li>\n<li>meat<\/li>\n<li>dry and fresh discounters<\/li>\n<li>food (packaged)<\/li>\n<li>frozen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Combined, they see more than 65,000 tons of fresh products and more than 33,000,000 boxes of packaged products move through the chain every year. Discussing this, Marco Staiti, ICT Manager for Sogegross, recalls:<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\u201cWe were aware that, in addition to offering classic services such as the supply of solutions that target specific needs, very few software vendors could also provide more advanced services.
